CONVERSION
Conversion, a fascinating word in its Latin meaning; “converso”, moving from a place to another or changing direction. Sustainability becomes a naturalistic philosophy, while organic agriculture includes all the cultivation of the estate and the forests.
Research
Small productions that are unique and unreapetable, wines that are born from the appeal represented by the idea of the research.
Projectus Viticulture represents the way to the experimentation of wines produced through ancient techniques such as the “stucchi” (graftings) of the estate. Centuries ago, in the Etruscan period, the grapes were selected to receive special attention and care. The vinification process was completed in earhenware jars, a process vitalonga continues to use for a small portion of the grapes.
Bio-diversities
The vegetable gardens of the estate are an exercise of the past and the future. In the vineyards are planted international and native varieties, while the vegetable gardens are dedicated to fruit trees and vegetables that come from ancient seeds that are endangered and to the cultivation of aromatic and medical herbs. The attention to the estate’s trees of monumental and environmental interest is widened to the forests, particularly to the truffle areas.
Discovery
The ancient orchard, the medieval vegetable garden, the vine graftings, the Etruscan caves, the paths in the forest and around the vineyards: vitalonga estate is an open experience, of nature and history of the territory dedicated to students and enthusiasts. a pathway between the vegetable gardens of vitalonga reflects the traditional past to the simplification of the present.
